Beginning 2013 with Grace

Depending on the day–or the moment–my relationship with grace is either effortless and familiar like my favorite fuzzy socks that never fail to keep the toes cozy, or it is choked and awkward, like my relationship with a temperamental software program or a feline pet, or...just fill in the blank. All too often, conscious or unconscious, doubts and worries creep in like a ninja, or storm the mind like a well-trained battalion; and rather than counting on God’s goodness and provision, I entertain the negative alternative. It’s not easy to admit, but I waffle on my position of grace.

Grace is the same every day, every moment. It can be described as God’s favor, loving-kindness, and mercy, His expression of love, given without reservation. It is an attribute, solid, constant, and 100% reliable. Why would someone, who has already accepted God’s free and complete grace, waffle on it?  More to the point, how can someone stop the waffling, and enjoy the peace of constant grace?

That’s what this journal will explore. The height, the depth, the breadth of  grace, and how we can enjoy the stability and energy that it was designed to bring to our every living day.
